The Honorary Consul and his assistant were invited to discuss relations between Finland and The Gambia. The discussion was held in great spirits, and with mutual optimism for future cooperation.

The honorary consul is taking efforts and hopes to see all gambians residing in Finland to form or join a local organization or gambian diaspora.

25.9.2022 Statistics Finland information on Gambians residing in Finland

Statistics Finland has publicly available statistics on different demographics. According to the latest available information, at the end of 2021 there were 1090 gambians residing in Finland.

This is a sizeable group, the honorary consulate will seek to expand the services we have available to better serve this entire population.

8.9.2022 Head of the Commonwealth queen Elizabeth II has passed away

The honorary consulate joins all Commonwealth citizens in condolences after the passing of the head of the Commonwealth, queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain. She was highly respected and well regarded by all, and her dedication to service is an inspiration to all of us who take part in public service.

Gambia Immigration Department has extended all Gambian passports 12 months on 2.8.2022.
